WECRD selects contractor to build facility

After 15 years of waiting, the Western Elmore County Recreation District is preparing to officially break ground on a community recreation center.
During a special meeting Oct. 7, the board of directors approved a $4.2 million bid from Kreizenbeck Constructors in Boise to start construction on the 23,000-square-foot facility.
