Optimist teams compete
Some teams won while others dealt with losses as Mountain Home Optimist Football's fall season entered its fourth week on Saturday.
Inventive Products of Mountain Home fell to Foothills, 0-22, as the 12 year olds battled it out in the senior division.
Eleven year olds in the junior division continued their winning ways as Thrifty Auto Sales of Mountain Home beat Play it Again, 28-6. However, United Metals of Mountain Home lost to Meridian White, 0-28.
Ten year old players in the sophomore division battled to the end as the Fighting Irish of Mountain Home lost to the Marsing Raptors in a narrow, 6-8 game. Meanwhile, Sophomore League chalked up an easy win after Wood River forfeited their match.
In freshman league action on Saturday, Tripl T Services of Mountain Home lost to RM Mech, 0-40. In Rookie league play, IWS Motor Coaches of Mountain Home picked up a 25-8 win over Allegea Print.
Flag football action on Saturday saw Taco John's of Mountain Home go up against Republic storage Boise while Tech Assault Firearms faced Treasure Valley Steel Boise. Officials don't track scores from these youth games.
