Jeffery Snell
A Gulf War Veteran, retired Master Sergeant Jeffery Robert Snell was born July 25, 1970, in Seattle, Wash., and after struggling with pancreatic cancer, he was called home to be with the Lord on Sept. 4, 2015. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at the Bureau Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Karla Snell, and their two children, Isaac and Emma Snell; also by his loving brother, John Snell; mother, Janice Bomstead; father Jim Snell; and grandmother, Betty Nations of Washington state.
Jeff served for 21 years in the military and retired honorably. A very devoted father and husband, he was often heard saying that after God, his wife and children were the most important things in his life. He enjoyed living off the land and homeschooling his children with his wife Karla.
During Jeff's service to his country, he lived in Germany and Alaska to name a few. After his marriage to Karla, they lived in Okinawa and New Mexico before making their home in Marsing, Idaho.
He enjoyed different cultures and loved food and was known for taking over the kitchen and whipping up his own delicacies.
He had a wicked sense of humor and entertained those blessed enough to be part of his life. At the time of his diagnosis, Jeff was in the process of getting his paralegal degree at Liberty University.
Faith was a large part of Jeff's life, and he wasn't afraid of going to be with the Lord, but his one regret is leaving his wife and family so early.
