Trump might be very blunt but he gets the job done
Dear editor,
George S. Patton was a General feared by those around him, but even more by the NAZI's. Blunt, confident and more than capable, he and his 3rd Army liberated half of Europe and helped smash Hitler.
If you liked him, fine. If not, that was ok too. He was there to do a job and he did it better than anyone we have today.
Patton also slapped a soldier, and that's all the mealy-mouths of the media even back then have ever remembered. And so it is with Donald Trump, whom I do not compare with Patton, but he too is a man who gets things done, in a country that has politically embraced the worst president in our history.
As a combat vet myself, I too thought his remark to McCain wasn't cool, but when one honestly reads the "laundry list" of all the damage Obama has done to this country, all Donald did was to speak his mind. And really, wasn't that one of the reasons we broke away from British rule to begin with?
Under a Republic, you don't have "word police." Only under a tyrannical government can you no longer freely speak.
Donald Trump is as much a "prima donna" as Patton was, but he does what the idiots in Washington cannot. He creates jobs, he doesn't trade with China or anyone else at a LOSS. I can't think of any lobbyist who could buy him off.
Obama told us all that the U.S. "doesn't deal with terrorists" (see Iran). Trump wouldn't have even sat down with them unless our hostages had been freed first. Iran KNEW they weren't up against Reagan this time. So does Putin and the rest of our enemies. And Trump doesn't GIVE things away for the sake of some perceived "legacy."
Obama called Bush "unpatriotic" for having a 9 trillion dollar national debt. Now that we're on our way to NINETEEN, they still blame Bush while Obama gets his "eternal free pass." Trump would be the guy to fix that, or at least get it turned around.
You don't get to be Donald Trump if you're economically stupid. A guy like Donald knows where to cut waste. He HAS to, which would certainly be a break for once, for the American taxpayer.
Bureaucracy and compromise is selling our country out faster than Kerry sold out Israel. Only those in denial refuse to see it The Civil War was fought over states' rights, and today's version of the Supreme Court continues the tradition.
Did anyone notice that while the White House was lit up in floodlighted rainbow colors just hours after the "gay'' decision, there was NOTHING on the 4th of July, and he practically had to be pressured and shamed into lowering the flags at half mast after the Chattanooga shooting? Anyone notice that?
Flags. Confederate flags go down, the flag of communist Cuba goes UP. The "rednecks" are told to "get over it, because the South LOST."
The South lost. Really?
So did SANTA ANA if I remember history correctly, but there's no shortage of Mexico's flags anywhere in America are there? And we're still being invaded down there today.
Invasion. We're told that Obama has deported more illegals than any other president. Mighty pretty speech not to mean anything. What does "deportation" actually mean today when our borders are WIDE OPEN and they just turn around and walk right back in?
If FOX's own Greta Van Sustren hadn't gotten involved, we'd still have a Marine Sgt. roiling in a Mexican prison. But if you're a DESERTER like Bergdahl, the White House is open to your family.
This administration is a joke, and most of these "Republican" candidates (which I dub the "RINO Regiment), aren't the answer to ANYTHING, just more of the same The best president we've ever had reminded us all that "government wasn't the solution to the problem, government IS the problem," and you'd have to be a drug addict to NOT see that today.
If the election was held tomorrow, I'd vote for Donald Trump if for NO OTHER REASON, than the sheer fact that he is not a senator, congressman or cabinet post member.
The man is NOT already a part of that carpet-bagging gaggle back there. He's not one of THEM, he doesn't have to leech off the taxpayers to make a living. And he stands up to bureaucrats. He's not some political wimp, afraid he might "offend" the same animals who continue to scream "death to America."
I believe he'd put AMERICA first for once, and would not be another "community apologizer."
Trump says what a LOT of us already think, that's why he resonates with so many out here today, and if the GOP has learned ANYTHING from 2008 and 2012, they'd better being paying attention now.
You can't beat the Democrats in a presidential run without your base. The RINO McCain didn't have it, and "Romnycare Mitt" couldn't rally the hard right either.
Jeb Bush was right when he said Trump doesn't represent what the party stands for. He doesn't.
Not today anyway, with Boenner & McConnell continuing to cave and compromise. There are so many hard-righters out here today who cannot stand the treason from Washington and the unwillingness for the now GOP-led House & Senate to stand up for once to the "king".
I firmly believe they would support Trump in a 3rd party run if he doesn't get the GOP party nomination.
Do we need to be reminded of how Bill Clinton won the White House in '92 with just 43%? I think Donald is gonna have to do something catastrophic to lose the support and the surge, because America is fed up with being laughed at, pushed around and dictated to.
Know what's really spooky to me? Like many of you, I used to laugh at "All in the Family" where liberal producer Norman Lear went to great lengths to make Archie Bunker look like a fool. But there was a lot more to that show than just the "bigot" facet.
There were a ton of other hot button issues, and when I see those old re-runs, then look at what's happening in this country right now, that guy we used to laugh at was "spot-on" about a lot of things. And that concerns me.
Patton slapped a soldier. But he helped win the war. In this rainbow-colored White House, we need more "Patton," and less "patent leather," or we are going UNDER my friends.
P.S. Those who want Hillary Clinton elected so we can have the first woman president, have learned absolutely nothing from the current disaster of having chosen a president based upon demographics and symbolism.
