Base shuts down runway as repairs continue

The runway repairs began in January and was broken down into three phases to allow flying operations to continue at Mountain Home Air Force Base during a majority of the project.
Flying operations at Mountain Home Air Force Base came to a temporary halt on Friday as work continues to replace the installation's runway.
Earlier that day, the last of the base's F-15s left Mountain Home for bases in Nevada and Arizona, where they will continue to conduct flight training during the next phase of the $44 million project.
