Chris was born on Christmas Eve in 1981 to Christopher Layton Standage and Robin Baker Jackson in Mesa, Ariz. He grew up in new Plymouth, Idaho, with his younger siblings. He enjoyed creating original pieces with his vast Lego collection, summer building and improvement projects with his father and participating in the Scouting program where he earned his Eagle.
After graduating with Honors, Chris served a full-time mission for the LDS Church in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Continuing his love of building with his hands, Chris studied Engineering at Brigham Young University-Idaho and graduated with a Bachelor's in Applied Business Management.
While there, he met his wife and eternal companion, Kristen Hunsaker. They were sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on Sept. 8, 2007. Eager to start a family, they were blessed with their son, Logan, less than a year later on Sept. 5, 2008.
Determined to make the best life he could for his family, Chris studied at Nouveau Riche Real Estate Investment College, where he was inspired to start his own business. Thus Standage Property Management was born and running successfully after only one year.
Chris's success was only brightened by the birth of his daughter, Emma, on Oct. 27, 2014. Chris's life was simple but full. He loved gaming online with his friends, camping outdoors with his dog, G.I.R., designing original metal works of art, motorcycling with his mom, teaching his son to build with Legos, snuggling with his daughter and attending the theater with his wife.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Layton Standage. He is survived by his brothers, Dustin, Jed and Tucker Brown; his sisters, Keira McMullin and Megan Brown; his mother Robin Jackson; children Logan and Emma Standage; and his wife, Kristen Standage, who will carry him in their hearts until they meet again.
