Books for sale
A patron looks over various titles during the Friends of the Mountain Home Public Library's book sale, which wrapped up Feb. 22.
The benefit group raised more than $300 during their sale of donated books to help the library fund additional programs throughout the year. A wide selection of used books remain on sale at the library each day in a designated rack with hardback books going for $1 and paperbacks selling for 50 cents.
Recently, the friends group purchased a fuzzy rug for the library children's reading area, featuring the letters of the alphabet. Meanwhile, the friends group plans to raffle a handmade quilt donated by Lynda Miller to raise additional funds for library programs. Raffle tickets are available at the library's front desk.
