Public land north of Mountain Home remains off limits
Thursday, January 29, 2015

The closure will help minimize disturbances to mule deer and elk herds while helping to preserve the long-term viability of their habitat, which burned during the 2013 Pony and Elk Complex fires.
More than 54,000 acres of public land temporarily closed due to the Pony and Elk Complex that burned north of Mountain Home in August 2013 will remain closed to the public through April 30.
In a press release on Friday, the Bureau of Land Management's Four Rivers field office announced the area will only open to non-motorized entry after April 30.
