Editor's wife offers her thanks
Thank you from the editor's wife:
It is only saying goodbye to the Mountain Home News as an employer, but not as our friends.
For years I tagged alongside my husband, the editor, Kelly Everitt. I have had a wonderful time meeting and greeting all of you and sharing his experiences at the many functions we attended.
I loved reading his spirited columns and many that sparked interest and debate that kept the readers wondering what he was going to write next week.
Kelly is a genuine "go-getter" and has the interest of his readers, his county and "his" town imprinted in his memories and his heart. I know as he moves on to his new job, he takes with him all your interests and concerns, your children and their rights in their education and he looks forward to working with a great new team. Please feel free to contact him with any concerns, suggestions or just to chat.
He was your voice for so many years and will now be a voice for education, which is a passion of his -- education opens the door for boundless opportunities.
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." -- Nelson Mandela.
It is our wish that you continue to support The Mountain Home News, the community and what drives us forward. Thanks to all of you, the readers -- my husband the editor, I love you and stand proud with you as we move forward.
-- Rita Everitt, A.K.A. Kelly's Wife
