Lola Cox
Lola Eunice "Nuni" Cox entered this world on Dec. 11, 1928, in Elkhart, Kan. On Dec. 11, 2014, exactly 86 years later, she departed this world in Boise, Idaho.
She was raised in Elkhart and then she resided in a number of towns throughout Kansas in her earlier years. The majority of the years were in Larned and Hoisington, Kan. She worked for several businesses but retired from Essex.
After retirement she moved to Boise, Idaho, to reside with her son, Jim Cox and his wife, Aurora Cox.
Lola was the youngest of three daughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rolandus Colyer and Ellen Colyer, her sister, Elma Quigley, and her son, Millard Cox.
In loving memory, she leaves her sister, Jessie Madsen, son James Cox, his wife, Aurora, their three children, Sabrina Swope and her children, Kelsey, Lucas, Brian, and Sabrina, Brian Cox, Aurora Dewey and her husband, Matt, and their children, Ezra and Lorenzo, plus a host of other family members and friends.
Lola enioyed sports, playing in the 1950s for a ladies softball team where she was the starting pitcher.
She also loved to play bingo, along with dice and card games where she made many friends while participating in those activities.
Throughout her years Lola loved being with her family and friends. When times of need arose she was always there to lend a helping hand.
