Arts council to host silent film presentation

Nell Shipman was a pioneer in the film industry and also was a noted animal trainer.

The Mountain Home Arts Council will present the Nell Shipman silent movies "The Grub-Stake" and "Little Dramas of the Big Places" this Friday, Oct. 10, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Mountain Home Church of the Nazarene.

The films will be musically accompanied by former Mountain Home High School band director, Ron VanOrder.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students. They are available at Lucky Perk, Common Ground Coffee and at the door.
