Nancy Bragdon
Nancy Marie Bragdon, age 72 of Meridian, passed away at her home on Sept. 23, 2014. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
Nancy was born Feb. 21, 1942, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Carl and Helen Warmelin and was the second of four daughters. Her family moved to Southern California after World War II. She attended schools in the Los Angeles area and graduated from Gardena High School in 1960.
Nancy was always exceptionally energetic and especially loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She worked most of her adult life.
She was a meticulous bookkeeper at work and at home, owned and operated Scotty's Market on Highway 55 near Marsing in the '70s, sold real estate in California and later in Idaho, and had her own electrology business with her sister, Carol, in California and later in Idaho (Beauty by Design).
Nancy remained the sweet, happy and good person she always was even as Alzheimer's was taking its toll.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and a young son. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband Dennis, her children Phil Goodwin and Marnie (Kevin) Braithwait of Nampa; step-daughter Tina Bragdon of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters Jane Lewsader of Boise; Betty Manning of Mountain Home; and Carol (Chuck) Gohlich of Escondido, Calif.; and many other family members and friends.
A special thanks to the staff at Heart'n'Home Hospice & Palliative Care and the two volunteers Jack and Bruce.
