Eric Chatham, 10, paints a replica of Jupiter's moon, Callisto, as part of an astronomy class held Friday afternoon at the city's parks and recreation building.
The basic astronomy program was part of this year's Adventure Camp, during which youngsters participate in an assortment of activities with each week geared to a specific theme.
The "space camp" theme last week introduced 34 children to an assortment of celestial objects, including stars, planets, moons and galaxies. Later that evening, the youngsters and their families were invited to an outdoor star party at Legacy Park.
