Elements of 366th Fighter Wing to deploy to Hawaii
Members from the 366th Fighter Wing are scheduled to deploy Friday to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
The deployment is designed to demonstrate continued U.S. commitment to stability in the Asia-Pacific region.
Mountain Home Airmen, including aircrew, medical, logistics and maintenance personnel, as well as F-15E Strike Eagles from the 391st Fighter Squadron, will support Pacific Air Forces and the U.S. Pacific Command.

"The 391st Fighter Squadron's presence in an unpredictable and uncertain area sends a clear message to the international community that the U.S. is serious about security and stability in this region," said Col. David Iverson, 366th Fighter Wing commander. "This is what we train for, and I am confident in their ability to accomplish the mission they are called to do."
Movement of U.S. Air Force fighters into the Pacific has been a routine and integral part of U.S. Pacific Command's combat capable air forces and regional force posture since March 2004, in order to maintain a prudent deterrent against threats to regional security.
