Sydney Oppenhein reacts while Logan Potter shaves her head during a student gathering at Mountain Home High School on Monday.
Oppenhein agreed to have her hair shorn if she raised more than $100 for this year's Relay for Life cancer awareness event.
As of Monday, the teen had already raised nearly $140, and she was expecting even more donations prior to the June 6 relay event.
Oppenhein has personal reasons for joining the cancer-awareness event. One of her friends at the high school is currently battling the disease, and she's also lost two members of her extended family due to cancer.
