Wrestlers prep for Kuna showdown
The Mountain Home Tigers' wrestling team had last week off as the squad works on improving what has been a successful season to date.
The Tigers were back in action Tuesday night, hosting Bishop Kelly and Emmett on the mats in Lloyd Schiller Gymnasium at Mountain Home High School.
The Tigers are 16-2 in dual matches this season, led by 98-pound freshman wrestler Pierce Mederios, who is 38-0 on the season.
Tigers Senior Solomon Chung-Hee is 28-4 in the 285-pound division.
Juniors Tanner Sessions and Tyler Heath, and senior Jordan Pendleton have also enjoyed success. Sessions is 30-7 at 145 pounds, Heath is 23-12 at 132 pounds and Pendleton is 23-11 at 138 pounds.
The Tigers have a big conference showdown with Kuna on Feb. 13 at Kuna and close out their regular season schedule at home against Timberline on Feb. 14.
