Lady Tigers victorious vs. Nampa, Columbia
It was a good week for the Mountain Home Lady Tiger volleyball team as they picked up wins over Nampa and Columbia.

The Lady Tigers came away from Nampa High School last Tuesday night with a conference win over the Lady Bulldogs.
Mountain Home won the first game 25-20. The second game was won by Nampa, 25-23, but the Lady Tigers bounced back to win the third game, 25-8, and took the match with a 25-23 win over Nampa in game four.
"Overall, we played pretty well," said Mountain Home volleyball coach Jill Peterson after the match. "We ran a quicker offense when the pass was good, and it was great to have some success with it."
Jacci Cristobal had 11 kills for the Lady Tigers. Mattie Bennett added 10 kills and served up three aces. Janay Yulis had four kills and six blocks, Whitney Sandberg had four kills and two service aces, Sable Lohmeier had six kills, Ksyenya Peterson had 27 assists, two blocks and two aces and Dakota Dean had 13 digs and two aces.

The Lady Tigers notched another conference win Thursday night, downing Columbia in four games.
The first game had 10 ties, with Mountain Home looking like they were going to win easily, as they overcame a 15-19 deficit to go up 24-16, a point a way from a win. Columbia battled back to tie it at 25-25.
After Mountain Home regained the lead, 26-25, the Lady Wildcats won three straight points to take the first game 28-26.
Mountain Home came back strong in the second game and withstood a few mini-runs by the Lady Wildcats to win 25-16.
Mountain Home jumped out to a lead in the third game, and held on for a 25-23 win.
The Lady Tigers controlled the fourth game from start to finish, winning 25-15 to win the match three games to one.
In her post-game comments, Coach Peterson admitted that she was happy with the way her girls battled back from the first-game loss to get the win.
"They stayed up, which is a great thing," the coach said. They didn't roller-coaster up and down. They came back fighting, still running quick things, which we had planned on, despite feeling a little bit nervous after going down that first set. I'm really pleased overall with how they played."
Mattie Bennett had 13 kills, six digs and four service aces. Jacci Cristobal added eight kills and two digs, Janay Yulis had six kills, nine blocks and two aces, Whitney Sandberg had four kills, six digs, four blocks and three aces, Ksyenya Peterson had 28 assists, three digs, two kills, a block and an ace, and Dakota Dean had 20 digs, three aces, an assist and a kill.
The Lady Tigers are on the road this week. They were at Middleton Tuesday night for a conference match, and go to Borah High School Friday and Saturday for a tournament.
