The Mountain Home Tigers boys soccer team remained undefeated while the Lady Tigers picked up their first win of the season during recent soccer action.

Tigers 3 Middleton 0

The Tiger boys continued their winning streak after they downed Middleton and Nampa last week. They broke open a scoreless game Tuesday, scoring three second-half goals for a 3-0 win over Middleton at Eastside Park in Mountain Home.

Keko Sanchez scored two goals and Gavin Guillen scored the Tigers third goal. Keko Sanchez, Juan Sanchez and Jack Richelieu had assists.

Richelieu had seven saves on goal as goalkeeper.

"It was a great win," said Tiger boys soccer coach Jay Lockett after the game. "And with the weather like it was -- it was hailing before the game -- and we were like not knowing what to do or what we were getting into -- it was a great win."

Tigers 1 Nampa 0

The Tigers traveled to Nampa on Thursday for a match that featured two unbeaten teams with the Tigers and the Bulldogs. Paul Rooney scored the only goal of the game off an assist by Victor Sanchez.

Jack Richelieu, who has yet to be scored upon at goalkeeper, had eight saves.

"We played well, and we're coming together," said Coach Lockett after the game.

"We have a long road ahead, but I believe we have something special and other teams are thinking twice about playing us. Never been 3-0 before, and it is something special."

Meanwhile, the Lady Tigers downing Nampa, 5-1, last Wednesday at Eastside Park in Mountain Home to score their first season victory. Earlier in the week, the Lady Tigers struggled as they lost at Middleton.

Middleton 9, Mountain Home 0

Mountain Home traveled to Middleton last Monday where they lost to the Lady Vikings 9-0 in conference girls soccer.

"We were a little flat," said Mountain Home girls soccer coach Kent Ogaard. "I know that long ride sometimes takes it out of you, but that's no excuse. We were losing it in the midfield and had to make some adjustments."

Missy Jessup had 35 saves on goal as goalkeeper for Mountain Home.

Mountain Home 5, Nampa 1

Mountain Home scored two first-half goals, and added three more in the second half on its way to a 5-1 win over Nampa Wednesday in their home opener at Eastside Park.

Christa Lewis scored two goals, and Madison Roache, Gina Gentry and Hannah Mode also scored goals. Missy Jessup had 18 saves on goal.

"After two losses, it was certainly well deserved," said a happy Coach Ogaard. "We made some adjustments and were winning the midfield battle, which ended up giving us that win.

"We had some amazing saves with our goalkeeper, Missy Jessup, and had some outstanding play by freshman Madi Roache, and we were able to swing up some JV players that helped us out."
