Tennis teams falter in season opener
The Mountain Home Tigers dropped their season-opening conference tennis match last week, losing to Columbia in Mountain Home.
Mountain Home opened its tennis season last Monday at Richard Aguirre Park in Mountain Home, losing both the girls and boys matches by 6-1 scores.

In girls singles, Heidi Rawlings picked up Mountain Home's lone win, winning the #2 girls singles 6-3, 6-7 (TB), 6-2. Stephanie Farnsworth lost the #1 singles match 3-6, 2-6, and Karina Guadarrama lost the #3 match 2-6, 4-6.
In girls doubles, Tessa Pachner and Emma Wenger lost the #1 match in three sets, 3-6, 6-2, 4-6. Emily Gillies and Alejandra Hernandez lost the #2 match 1-6, 0-6.

Brad Foreman was Mountain Home's lone winner in the boys matches, winning the #1 boys singles match 6-4, 6-3.
Daniel Courtright lost the #2 match in three sets, 3-6, 7-5, 1-6, and Jared Shaw lost the #3 match 0-6, 0-6.
In boys doubles competition, Jacob Hanson and Dustin Emerson lost the #1 match 0-6, 0-6, and Haydon Draper and Andy Crawford dropped the #2 match 0-6, 1-6. In mixed doubles, Brytany Minder and Steve Kreyche lost the #1 match 1-6, 1-6, while Kaitlyn Stevens and Marco Gajeda lost the #2 match 1-6, 0-6.
The Mountain Home tennis squads hosted Bishop Kelly on Monday, travel to Emmett on Thursday, March 21, before they host Jerome on Saturday.
