Linebacker named to Shriner's team

Linebacker Jerad Contrell has been named to the East All-Star team for the 2012 El Korah Shrine 17th Annual All-Star Football Game.

The game will be held Friday at Rocky Mountain High School in Meridian.

The 11-man game begins at 2 p.m. The eight-man all-star football game begins at 11 a.m.

Cantrell is the only member of the Mountain Home High School Tigers squad to be honored this year as one of the all-star players.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for student with activity cards or 12 years of age and under. Proceeds will benefit children at the Shriner's Hospital for Children, which provides no charge for children needing specialized care due to burns, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries and cleft lip or palate repair.
