For the love of the game

Stepping onto the first tee, Chuck Curtis adjusted his grip on the driver and took a swing. The club made a satisfying sound as it sliced through the air.
After a minor adjustment to his stance, Curtis took another couple of swings just for good measure. It was a quick opportunity to get outside for a few minutes before he headed back inside to deal with the paperwork sitting on his desk.
For Curtis, who became the new manager of the Desert Canyon Golf Course in February, the opportunity to hit the links now and again is his way of nurturing his lifelong passion for the sport.
