It's honky tonk time

The Sweetback Sisters kick up the beat as they perform in Carl Miller Park on Friday evening.

Hailing from the "Great Northeast" corner of the United States, the band made a stop in Mountain Home as part of this year's summer concert series.

Sponsored by the Mountain Home Arts Council and the city's parks and recreation department, the concert features a blend of country, swing and honky tonk music. The summer concert series concludes this Friday with a performance by The Callenders at 6:30 p.m. at the park on American Legion Boulevard.
