Event center to open in Oasis

A former reality television star will bring the sounds of blues music and the aroma of freshly cooked seafood to the Oasis community when a new event center opens there this week.

Capt. Harry "Big Dad" Lewis, who starred on the show Deadliest Catch, built the Oasis Event Center to bring to life a vision for the property he owns in the rural community.
