Boosting the Tigers' spirit
Thursday, May 17, 2012
Coaches and players with Mountain Home High School's varsity football team launch a new tradition Saturday afternoon as they begin to push the "Tiger Bug" down Airbase Road as part of a fundraiser.
The first-ever car push started at De Meyer Furniture with athletes pushing the vehicle to the Mountain Home Auto Ranch on the city's north side with the city police and fire departments leading the way.
The Volkswagon Beetle was recently refurbished by the Mountain Home Charioteers car club and converted into a Tigers football helmet. It will go on display around Mountain Home during football season to let the community know of upcoming home games in addition to promoting other school sports.
