Hearings resume on Mayfield community plan

After months of delays, Elmore County's Planning and Zoning Commission resumed discussions last week on a proposal to develop a new community on the county's western border.

During a public hearing March 21, the seven-person commission accepted testimony regarding the Mayfield Springs Planned Community.

Similar to the larger Mayfield Townsite approved by the board of county commissioners last June, the Mayfield Springs project calls for building 4,200 residential dwellings during the course of its development.
