High school team also claims district yearly debate title

Just days after five of its members qualified to compete at the national level, the Mountain Home High School Talkin' Tigers turned in their strongest performance of the year to earn the District IIIB Debate Championship.

Headed by overall captain Megan Porter, the Talkin' Tigers debate squad had six of its teams advance to state and with two others named as alternates during the Friday event.
