U.S. Special Operations Forces training at Mountain Home AFB

Mountain Home Air Force Base is hosting members of the U.S. Special Operations Forces and other military units during a joint training exercise, which began here Friday.
People in Mountain Home and surrounding communities may see increased flying activity and aircraft noise during the exercise, which is scheduled to end Feb. 18.
All training was coordinated with the appropriate authorities, according to a press statement released by officials at the nearby base.
U.S. Special Forces represent an elite group of men and women trained to defend the United States and its interests. In addition, these forces synchronize the planning of global operations against terrorist networks.
