Bowling event raises $1,000 for Youth Center

City councilman Jimmy Schipani and Parents and Youth United representatives Diane Haines pose with the top youth team during last week's bowl-a-thon, which raised more than $1,000 for the Mountain Home Youth Center. Members of the winning team included Marxus Bernal, Mathew Smith, Logan, Hampton and Preslee Bowman.

Local organizers rolled in more than $1,000 during a recent benefit aimed at helping the Mountain Home Youth Center.

Hosted by Freedom Lanes, the 2012 Youth Center Bowl for the Kids was a "mega success," said youth center secretary Debra Brito.
