Contest seeks to aid school arts programs

With local area schools struggling to keep their art programs alive, a group of local parents hope to rekindle that creative outlet through an initiative that debuted this month.

Crafted by parent groups at each of the four elementary schools in Mountain Home, the Expressions program gives aspiring students an opportunity to express themselves through various art forms, according to group spokesperson Rachel Reynolds.
