Event showcases the 'signs' of the times

Two dozen children and their parents showed up last Thursday to enjoy a special American Sign Language Storytime at the Mountain Home Public Library.
As librarian Patti Shield read the story to the children, Arden Schmidt, regional consultant for the State School for the Deaf and Blind in Gooding, provided a sign language translation.
