Hospital to upgrade phone lines

This Thursday, Oct. 20, from noon to 4 p.m., Elmore Medical Center will upgrade its phone system.

"The existing phone system has reached its maximum capacity and could no longer be expanded to meet the facility needs," a hospital spokespersons said.

During the upgrade process, community members who wish to call the hospital, LTCU, Trinity Mountain Medical Clinic or the EMC Specialty Clinic may experience periods when the phones will go straight to voice mail. If that happens, leave a message, include your name and a callback phone number. The department you are trying to call will return all calls as soon as the phones are brought back online.

The phones in clinic areas will be have priority and be upgraded first.

E-mail communication will not be affected by the upgrade.
