Golfers tie for fourth at local meet
The Mountain Home Tigers golf team finished in a tie for fourth with Skyview at the Mountain Home Invitational Golf Tournament at Desert Canyon Golf Course.
Middleton won the tourney, shooting a 319 team score. Bishop Kelly was second, 10 shots back at 329. Columbia was in third, 15 shots back at 344. Mountain Home and Skyview both came in with 347 scores. Nampa was three shots back at 350 and Emmett shot a 372.
Brent Sexauer, Clint Butori and Doug Zilnicki each shot an 86, which was 13 shots off the pace. They tied for 12th. Derek Doerr came in with an 89.
The Tigers' Pre-District Tournament at Hunter's Point on April 25 was rained out. They were scheduled for a conference match on May 2 at Falcon Crest. The district tourney is May 9 at Hunter's Point Golf Course.
