City wins grant to battle flooding problems

The City of Mountain Home has been awarded a $444,448 grant to reduce its risk from flooding by updating and improving a portion of the city's stormwater control system.
Idaho Bureau of Homeland Security Director Brig. Gen. Bill Shawver presented the city with an oversized check for the project during a ceremony at city hall Monday.
The grant will fund a project to increase the capacity of the stormwater management system along E. 8th North Street.
