Wendell man pleads guilty to vehicular manslaughter
A Wendell man living illegally in the United States pled guilty to four counts of vehicular manslaughter during a hearing earlier this month at the Elmore County Courthouse.
By entering this plea, Eusebio J. Pineda admitted to causing the head-on collision near Glenns Ferry that killed four members of a California family Aug. 12.
According to a report from the Idaho State Police, Pineda drove a 2001 Ford F150 pickup eastbound in the westbound lanes of the interstate when he collided with a car driven by Amado Herrera of South El Monte, Calif. Herrera along with his wife, Luz Herrera, and his 18-year-old daughter, Yvette, and 10-year-old son, Antoni, died in the collision.
