Junior high musical will revisit old '50s sounds

The "Fabulous Fifties" will revisiting Mountain Home with this year's Act Out Theatre musical production of "Ducktails and Bobbysox."

The junior high school musical production tells a humorous tale of romance and life in the '50s, all held together with a song review.

Performances are scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25 and 26, and next week on March 4 and 5, beginning at 7 p.m. in the junior high commons room. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

The 40-plus students have been preparing for the past four months.

"Some of these songs are new to our young cast," said choreographer Emily Jensen. "But they have really seemed to enjoy performing the music," of tunes from the '50s.
