Prayer breakfast honors legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Members of the No Limits Praise and Worship Team provided musical entertainment during the breakfast.

The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast kicked off Saturday morning at the Elk's Lodge with speakers praising the progress made in the last 50 years, but warning that work remains to be done to accomplish King's vision of equality for all.

The event featured a keynote address by Roger Madsen, director of the Idaho Department of Commerce and Labor, and prayers offered by ministers from throughout the area.

Rev. Harold Henderson, in offering a prayer for the country, noted that "we are a nation confused, challenged and frightened" by recent events, marked by two wars, terrorism and radio and TV commentators who "vent anger and hate."
