Assessor notes tax breaks

The Elmore County Assessor's office is reminding all persons who might qualify for the 2011 property tax reduction program that the final date for filing the appropriate form is April 15.

Some of the requirements are: to be widowed; disabled, or 65 years of age or older.

The net income from all sources, excluding VA benefits if 40 percent or more disabled and excluding widows' DIC income must not exceed $28,000 during 2010.
