Crumblin' down
Thursday, December 9, 2010

Demolition crews finish dismantling the former Western Elmore County Recreation District headquarters on North 3rd East Street on Nov. 30.
The building was the first facility at the East Jackson Street intersection to come down to make way for a new fellowship hall for the local Catholic community.
The project follows nearly a year of debate that included multiple revisions and compromises that eventually paved the way for the 14,000 square foot building. Located next to the existing church downtown, the new ministry building will give the church needed space for a fellowship area, administration offices and classrooms along with more parking.
