Flu shots planned for local students
Central District Health Department is working to improve influenza vaccination rates among Elmore County children by offering a series of school-based flu clinics in Mountain Home and Glenns Ferry beginning Thursday, Nov. 18.
Parents of students in the two school districts have been sent flu vaccination information packets, along with forms to fill out if they would like to protect their children against seasonal flu.
While the flu vaccine itself is free, there is an administration fee that will be billed to a family's insurance. If the family has no insurance they will be billed $14.34 for vaccine administration. No one will be denied a vaccination because of an inability to pay, however.
