Initiative from local shop seeks to help children with disabilities
Owners of a local computer store hope to renew the gift of learning in a child struggling with disabilities through an initiative aimed at fueling academic success.
On the evening of Dec. 24, Chris and Lori Albright from Mountain Home Computers will present a new computer system to a school-age child as part of their "Connecting Kids to Computers" program.
The computer will come complete with an education software package specifically geared for the child's grade level. The programs focus on core academic subjects with the capability to "grow" with the child, despite their academic difficulties, Chris said.
