Mtn. Home runners compete at Firman Invitational race
Last Saturday was the annual Bob Firman Invitational cross country meet at Eagle Island State Park with thousands of runners running at various levels from junior high all the way up to college level.
The Mountain Home Tiger cross country runners ran in the freshman, JV and varsity levels of competition and won words of praise from Tiger cross country coach Doug Root.
"The kids ran very well. Almost everyone ran seasonal personal bests. Most of the ones that ran the course last year improved their times this year. Our (varsity) girls established themselves number two in the district behind Bishop Kelly and number four in the (4A) state behind Bishop Kelly, Twin Falls, and Preston."
