Corrections officer charged with misconduct

An employee with a local juvenile correctional center was arraigned in magistrate court last week on charges of misconduct.

Stephanie L. Hoagland will face three counts of sexual contact with a prisoner during a preliminary hearing set for Monday, Oct. 6, in magistrate court.

Hoagland was arrested Sept. 17 by Mountain Home police officers. Her precise affiliation with the Three Springs juvenile corrections facility where she worked, including her time with the agency, were not known as of press time since repeated calls from the Mountain Home News to the facility were not returned.
