Family searches for answers behind daughter's murder
On a shelf in her bedroom, Belinda Fisher kept her collection of various Elmo dolls and figurines. The Sesame Street character's lighthearted, sometimes quirky personality tended to match Belinda's youthful take on life.
Growing up in Mountain Home, she spent her days wanting to make people laugh or simply smile. It was her way of making their day just a little better. It also allowed her to make friends quickly and build long-lasting relationships.
It's Belinda's loving and caring personality that prompted her family and friends to search for answers on the motive behind her death.
The Mountain Home High School honors student was murdered Saturday evening in her Denver suburb home. The 30-year-old died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to a coroner's report.
