Dopps Memorial Rodeo starts Friday

Gov. Butch Otter will provide a team roping demonstration during the Saturday night events of this year's 5th Annual Daniel Dopps Memorial Rodeo, set for June 25-26.

Sponsored by Mountain Home Auto Ranch and Dodge Rodeo, the event will be held at Optimist Park Arena in Mountain Home.

A special kick-off party for the rodeo will be held Thursday, June 24, at Kurly's Sports Bar & Grill on Jackson Street in Mountain Home. The festivities will start at 5 p.m. There will be cowboys, rodeo animals, roping lessons and other activities for kids and their families.

You folks did not post the rodeo in your community calendar. What's up with that?

Thank you to everyone who put on the pre-rodeo party and put so much time into the rodeo- it was fantastic and we really had a lot of fun. Your hard work is very much appreciated!
