Baseball players honored at Tiger awards banquet
Mountain Home Tiger baseball players received honors at last Tuesday night's Tiger baseball awards banquet.
In awards voted upon by the players, Tiger head baseball coach Travis Devore announced that the Most Valuable Defensive Player award went to Jake Hennessey.
Both the Most Valuable Offensive Player and Most Valuable Pitcher awards went to Eric Christiansen.
Coach DeVore also announced the All-Conference SIC awards voted upon by the coaches of the SIC. Coaches cannot vote for their own players.
Making First Team All-Conference were Brock Morris as an infielder, Jake Hennessey as a catcher and Eric Christiansen as a pitcher.
Second Team All-Conference went to David Bitrick as an outfielder and Tom Hennessey as an infielder.
Honorable Mention All-Conference went to Trevor Woodruff as a pitcher.
Coach Devore also announced that David Bitrick, Eric Christiansen, Tom Hennessey and Trevor Woodruff were selected to play in the 2010 Idaho Baseball Coaches Association Showcase Games in Coeur d'Alene on May 30.
