WECRD plans youth fun run, walk

The Recreation Foundation of Elmore County and the Western Elmore County Recreation District will hold its annual "Youth Fun Run/Walk" for all school-aged children, first grade through senior in high school, on June 19, beginning at 10 a.m. at Richard Aguirre Park.

Pre-registration is being held now at the WECRD office at 245 E. 6th South St.

Registration also will be available the day of the walk at 9 a.m. There will be a warm-up at 9:30 a.m. led by the Mountain Home High School cheerleaders and Tiger mascot. The two-mile walk will began at 10 a.m.

Oh my how fun! Now maybe update your web page with some current information like Meeting Minutes and for goodness sakes get that survey info off of there! It has been done for months. Spend less time and money on things like this and more on keeping your patrons informed---with current info. You spent nearly an entire meeting going over the new web info...MONTHS AGO. Get to it girls. Make yourselves useful. You have more help now. No reason why current information cannot be obtained. Just sayin...

I agree with OM, with all the money WE have paid this web support person and now a paid asst. why isn't the website ever updated? hmmmmm Yes, we do still care and are still watching and waiting...just sayin...

Awwwww come on now OM you know those gals at the WECRD are doing there best to keep up and it shows. They have meetings when most people can't be there and when they can't they really don't want to hear from the public. Everything is a big dark secret for that taxing district, the only thing we know to be true is what they collect in taxes from everyone. As far as their web site it hasn't been really kept up to date for a long time but its ok for them to take tax payers dollars to keep it going. Bottom line with that sorry outfit is to keep spenting the public tax dollars and not let them know what for. Fire the whole outfit and do away with it.

WECRD let's stop what your doing and finish the things you start first once they have been completed then move forward. I personally haven't kept updated on the Center that was supposed to go up but to my knowledge the tax payers have paid and havent seen anything come of it or where our money has gone... Sorry to bring up old issues but nothing good has come from WECRD.
