Lawson a truly impressive candidate
Dear editor:
I met a young lady not to long ago and she informed me she was running for the state senate, District 22. That young lady was Marla Lawson. I have to say I was impressed.
I think she is the only politician who got my attention immediately. I was impressed with her views on issues of the day. She actually said things I believe.
She didn't beat around the bush or try to make light of issues. When she mentioned her plan and ideas about less taxes I paid attention. I like her ideas. She has an idea that we don't need state income tax. I agree. She pointed out the other states that don't have income tax and they seem to be doing better than us.
As she spoke on I heard many of her positions that really agree with the people. I feel she didn't just say those things, she really believes it. I like that kind of commitment.
I am convinced she will follow her agenda to improve the great state of Idaho. I must admit I am no longer a young person, so it takes a lot to get my attention. Marla Lawson has done just that. I am excited about her ideas and her vision for Idaho. She firmly believes she can make a positive difference and so do I.
I have seen and heard politicians come and go for years and they almost all say the same thing. For once, I believe someone. Marla Lawson is not a smooth talker or one who just tells you what you want to hear. When she says something, she believes it. I think that is a great quality to have. She doesn't pull any punches, what you see is what you get. I am absolutely convinced she is the right person for the job.
I would urge everyone to vote for Marla Lawson on May 25 for state District 22 Senate.
