"Overall, it was a good week, from a coach's perspective," said Mountain Home Tiger tennis coach Tamzy House. "I saw a lot of kids break through some 'tennis ceilings,' which is all part of the progressive learning process. Kids who had never played the game before starting eight weeks ago were taking their opponents into three sets or winning set tie-breaks.
"Soon they will win the three-setter and get the match won in two sets -- all part of the learning curve -- it was just exciting to watch!"
Mountain Home's home match against Nampa on April 12 was rained out. It has been reset for May 3. The Tigers were at Columbia this past Monday, and host Skyview Thursday. They travel to Jerome on Saturday for a non-conference match.
