Debate continues over church project
Questions continued to surround a request by the Catholic church to build a fellowship center next to its existing church -- with no solutions in sight following Monday's city council meeting.
Earlier this month, the council overturned recommendations by the city's planning and zoning commission, which would have denied the church's conditional use permit.
Following that earlier meeting, city planners drafted a revised conditional use permit regarding the church's request. The updated document highlighted findings and testimony presented at previous city planning and zoning and city council meetings, said City Planner Bonnie Harper.
