County P & Z will consider changes in comp plan

Following the recommendations of a report released last week, the Elmore County Planning and Zoning Commission voted Nov. 18 to consider amending the county comprehensive plan to refine how the county approves land use for industrial development.
At stake is the fate of a proposed nuclear power plant near the city of Hammett.
On a 4-3 vote, the planning and zoning commission approved plans to review the county's existing comprehensive plan with the option to amend the document.
